How to get there
By air
British Airways is the official carrier for this event and is offering special congress fares to all participants.
Edinburgh Airport is only 12 kilometres (8 miles) from the city centre and has excellent coach and tax connections. There are over 30 flights from London airports every day, and regular services to other major British cities. Major airlines fly to European destinations including Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Stockholm, Frankfurt, Paris and Zurich. A number of these routes are serviced by low cost airlines. There is also a direct route from New York to Edinburgh daily.
Lothian Buses operate a frequent bus service (every 10 minutes approximately) between Edinburgh airport and the city centre. Buses terminate at Waverley Bridge, adjacent to the city's main railway station. Tickets cost £3/single and £5/return and can be purchased from the driver.
Glasgow International Airport is also just an hour's drive from Edinburgh.
Citylink bus service 905 operates from Glasgow airport to Glasgow city centre every 10-15 minutes. From there, bus number 900 leaves for Edinburgh every 20-30 minutes. Alternatively, a regular rail service runs every 15 minutes from Glasgow Queen Street Railway Station to Edinburgh Haymarket.

By train
Edinburgh has two railway stations - Waverley and Haymarket. Waverley is the main station with direct services across the country and locally. Haymarket boasts a similar number of direct services, however please note that not all trains stop here. Haymarket is the most convenient railway station for the EICC.
There are 16 direct trains daily from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley, taking approximately four hours. The Caledonian Sleeper Service runs an overnight train six nights a week from London Euston to Edinburgh Waverley. Tickets can be booked online at www.gner.co.uk or www.thetrainline.com . By bus
Travel by coach is generally much cheaper than by rail in the UK but journey times are considerably longer. National Express run regular services between London Victoria coach station and Edinburgh St Andrew Square with a journey time of roughly 9 hrs. Edinburgh's main bus terminal is located at St Andrew Square in the New Town.
To reach the EICC
- From Haymarket Station
Please follow directions for the EICC (5 minute walk). - From Waverley Station
On foot, from Waverley take the exit for Princes Street and turn left onto Princes Street. Walk west towards the Caledonian Hilton Hotel with the castle on your left for approximately half a mile. From there follow signs for the EICC. Both stations have taxis available. The journey time from Waverley is approximately 10 minutes although delegates should allow longer if arriving at rush hour. If arriving with luggage, it is recommended to use a taxi or bus to reach the EICC. Information on bus services can be found at st Andrew Square. Bus numbers 2 and 12 stop approximately 180 metres from the EICC entrance on Morrison St and run every 15 minutes between 07:00 and 23:30.

By road
There are 5 car parks within five minutes' walk from the EICC. Given the number of one-way streets in close proximity to the EICC, the following approaches are suggested:
- from West: via M8, A8, Haymarket, Torphichen St, Morrison St
- from East: via A1, Princes St, Shandwick Place, Torphichen St, Morrison St
- from South: via A720, Braid Road, Morningside Rd, Bruntsfield Place, earl Grey St, Torphinchen St, Morrison St
- from North: via Forth Road Bridge, A90, Queensferry Rd, Queensferry St, Melville St, Shandwick Place, Torphichen St, Morrison St
- from North via Stirling: M9, A8, Haymarket Station, Torphichen St, Morrison St
